Anti-Red-Tagging Monitoring Project
The Anti-Red Tagging Monitoring Project is a project being implemented by the Ateneo Human Rights Center (AHRC). The initiative aims to address the worsening threat of violence and impunity towards caused-oriented groups, community leaders, human rights defenders, and organizations in the Philippines. The goal is to prevent the escalation of red-tagging cases to acts of intimidation and violence by recognizing “tell-tale” signs and implementing measures to respond and prevent further escalation. The mechanism utilizes public information and documented cases on human rights violations concerning red-tagged individuals and organizations to identify trends and patterns that could help in monitoring individuals at risk and responding to ongoing red-tagging cases.
